Nolan's Basketball

Nolan has 2 basketball games under his belt and he is starting to get the hang of it. He has managed to get a basket in each game.......hurray!! Here are a couple pix from one of his games........and one of his baskets.

Larry the Cable Guy

Terry and I went to see Larry the Cable Guy on Thursday night (yep, even in the sub zero weather). It was worth going out in the cold and we really enjoyed the show. It was great having a "grown up" night out. Terry laughed so hard his stomach hurt when we left.

Krape Park Pictures

12.31.07
Terry drove me around so I could take some beautiful pictures around town. Here are a few of my favorites from Krape Park.

Back to School and Work

Winter break is almost over. Tomorrow Terry and I will return to work and the kids will return to school. We have had a great 2 weeks where Terry and I were both able to be off for most of it. Santa gave us a Wii for Christmas and we have had fun playing this as a family. It will be tough going to bed at a reasonable time tonight as it has been hard to turn the games off and go to bed. Did you know that it was possible to fall asleep playing Wii? I guess they should add to the warning - "Warning: may cause drowsiness." If you can't believe this is possible just ask WiiZee about it. Yep, you guessed it, I found Terry sound asleep playing Wii. Controller in one hand and nunchuck in the other. LOL. The kids also got new board games that have been lots of fun. We have to really pay attention when playing because the kids know what they are doing and can kick our butts.

We are currently on break from soccer but Nolan is going to try his hand at a new sport. Nolan is very excited to start basketball this week and his first game will be Saturday. Mercedes has decided not to play basketball but will be ready when soccer starts again.

Brewery Tours

Over the summer Terry and I did a few wine tours with our friends Todd and Tamie. So as a "Thank You" to the guys, Tamie and I decided to do a few brewery tours. Saturday we ventured to WI to find the tours. On our way, we stopped in Cedarville at the new winery for a few samples. Needless to say, our DD was the first one to belly up to the bar for samples. LOL. After our samples we found our way to New Glarus to the brewery. The great thing about this tour is it is self guided so you can skip most of it and go straight to the samples. We enjoyed some samples better than other (hey, the more we drank the better they got). Then they gave as a certificate for more free samples at a local establishment. So, what the heck, we decided to check it out. We had parked and were walking to the bar for our samples and Terry pointed out another winery with Free Samples on the wall..................so, Tamie and I sent the guys to the bar and told them we would catch up with them in a little bit. Yep, you guessed it. The guys found us in the winery when they finished in the bar. We just couldn't leave until there was an empty glass on the bar and, well, somehow ours kept getting more wine in it...........and our DD was 2 samples ahead of me. LOL. At the end of the day we all had a great time and still waiting for our DD to start driving us around.
